The School offers a selection of comprehensive development programs and learning series that support public servants at all levels and across disciplines and departments. They lay the groundwork for a common public service culture based on shared values, ethics and priorities.

Aspiring Directors Program

The Aspiring Directors Program targets employees who have been identified through their departmental/agency talent management process as having the potential to assume an executive role within the next two years. The program emphasizes the importance of self awareness and personal reflection. Participants are encouraged to think about who they are as leaders and how they lead others.

Authority Delegation Training

Public service managers and executives must have a solid understanding of their roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities within the federal government. Authority Delegation Training (G110) is an online self-paced course providing learners with the essential information they need to successfully obtain and execute their delegated authorities as managers or executives. Learners will gain knowledge of the core legislation, regulations, policies, and guidelines that govern their roles and responsibilities within the federal public service. The areas covered include the management of human resources, finance, procurement, information, and related fields.

Directors General Program

The Directors General Program provides a platform of learning activities for both newly promoted and experienced directors general. The program leverages the collective strengths of the director general community and the support of senior leaders, and focuses on building personal strategies to navigate the current and evolving context of a director general in the public service.

Executive Leadership Development Program for EX-01 to EX-03

The Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP) for EX-01 to EX-03 gives senior public servants an opportunity to deepen their leadership role in enabling innovation, fostering collaboration and delivering results for Canadians. Participants are exposed to real-world experiences and issues, with guidance from senior leaders.

ADM Executive Leadership Development Program

The ADM Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP) is a unique opportunity for participants to deepen their personal leadership in a trusted and well-integrated community of their peers. This is accomplished through interactive and experiential learning, both as a cohort and in small groups where various experts and leaders from public, private, non-governmental and academic sectors share their experiences and their perspectives on current issues.

Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA+) is an analytical tool used to assess how diverse groups of women, men and gender-diverse people may experience policies, programs and initiatives. The "plus" in GBA+ acknowledges that GBA+ goes beyond biological (sex) and socio-cultural (gender) differences. We all have multiple identity factors that intersect to make us who we are; GBA+ also considers many other identity factors, like race, ethnicity, religion, age, and mental or physical disability.
