Faculty member: Isabel Beaudoin

Isabel Beaudoin became a faculty member at the School in 2013. She had been part of the School's management team since 2010.

As a member of the faculty, her objective is to help public servants better understand the complexity of the federal government and assist them in acquiring new skills and knowledge to meet the challenges of their respective offices.

Isabel's passion has always been teaching. She was a lecturer in public administration at the University of Ottawa and she developed national learning strategies for the Service Canada College. She received an award from the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat in recognition of her contribution towards Financial Information Strategy training across government.

Isabel has over 30 years of experience in the federal public service, which includes 15 years in financial management and 20 years in management, notably at Statistics Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) and Service Canada. Her responsibilities have included the re-engineering of business processes and the establishment of a national accounts receivable management system at AAFC.

She has also held several executive positions on an interim basis in the areas of financial management and learning and leadership. She has received a number of awards, including the Excellence in Innovation award for her work on the redesign of the travel authorization business process for School instructors and on the virtual delivery of national training for financial officers at the School.
