Government of Canada and Public Sector Skills
This business line offers public servants learning opportunities related to the craft of government and how to work within a public sector context. The School provides learning through its Transferable Skills business line to help public servants develop portable knowledge and skills that are applicable inside and outside of government. But this business line is not just about skills; it's also about behaviours, mindsets and connecting. Indigenous Learning
The learning on Indigenous issues offered at the School allows public servants to discover and understand the shared history of Canada and Indigenous Peoples and its impact on all of our daily lives. The objective is to foster effective working relationships with the various First Nations peoples and Inuit and Métis communities in Canada, and support the development of federal policies and programs that reflect their needs and realities. Executive Learning

The mandate of the Innovation and Policy Services Branch is to help public servants acquire the skills, experience, and mindsets they need to pursue excellence in public service in an environment of change. The activities of the Branch include demonstration projects, digital up-skilling, experimentation, and research. Busrides.ca broadens and deepens digital literacy. To give all public servants a basic and shared conceptualization of a Government of Canada digital lens. Joint Development of Virtual Reality Projects
The CSPS Digital Academy developed the virtual exposition (vExpo) to support the recent shift to virtual events. The Policy and Priorities Directorate's mandate is to introduce public servants to the latest thinking, practices, and tools to enhance capacity across government. They do this in several ways, including by conducting demonstration projects and developing tools for informal and experiential learning, supporting the launch of events and dissemination of leading-edge practices across core functions, developing enabling strategies and internal policy tools to support internal priorities, and enhancing CSPS's engagement with academia and external organizations. Integrated Learning Management System (I-LMS)
Description: This database is used to support a centralized portal for online learning courses and to provide individuals with online assessment tools. The database captures individual profile information; course and learning activity participation and results; and some automatically generated course testing and self-assessment results. The personal information collected includes the individual's name, work address, work telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address, department, job title, classification category and level, and preferred language. While accounts may be deactivated after a period of prolonged inactivity, account holders can request the reactivation of their accounts at any time by calling the Client Contact Centre.
Class of Individuals: Employees of governments and public sector institutions (federal, provincial, municipal and international).
Purpose: This information is collected to provide an automated tool for course registration, payment and learning activity utilization data. This tool is provided to enable I-LMS account holders to establish training needs and partake of professional development activities.
Consistent Uses: The personal information is used for I-LMS statistical and evaluative purposes. All disclosures require the individual's prior consent.
Retention and Disposal Standards: The information is retained by I-LMS as long as the I-LMS platform exists. Should the platform be discontinued, the information will not be disposed of until five years have passed.
