To prevent discrimination under the Employment Equity Act, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Canadian Human Rights Act, public service managers are legally obliged to address the accommodation needs of their employees in the workplace. This online self-paced course introduces managers to the principles of workplace accommodation and examines the importance and benefits of making such accommodations. Participants will examine key concepts such as the duty to accommodate and undue hardship, and discover strategies and tools for engaging teams in fostering an inclusive and barrier-free work environment.
