To do their jobs effectively, public service managers are expected to have a solid understanding of their roles, responsibilities and accountabilities. Module 1 of Authority Delegation Training provides an overview of the key topics covered in the eight modules of this online self-paced course. Participants will learn about the principles of managing human resources, public funds, programs and assets, as well as their roles and responsibilities within these management areas.

Topics include:

  • exploring the key areas of management in the public service
  • clarifying management roles and responsibilities
  • understanding delegated authorities as managers or executives

Notes:

To complete this training, participants must finish all eight modules of the Authority Delegation Training course. The course evaluation will only be forwarded upon the completion of Module 8.
