To do their jobs effectively, public service managers are expected to have a solid understanding of their roles, responsibilities and accountabilities. Module 4 of Authority Delegation Training focuses on understanding the requirements of the Policy on Communications and Federal Identity and the Directive on the Management of Communications. Participants will learn about their responsibilities regarding the Federal Identity Program and other accountabilities for communications within the Government of Canada.

Topics include:

  • understanding communications requirements within the Government of Canada
  • recognizing responsibilities towards the Federal Identity Program
  • applying the official symbols of the Government of Canada


To complete this training, participants must finish all eight modules of the Authority Delegation Training course. The course evaluation will only be forwarded upon the completion of Module 8.
