Leaders at all levels must be properly trained before they can confidently provide performance-based coaching to employees. This online self-paced course offers an introduction to the GROW Model for coaching and equips leaders at all levels to develop their leadership competencies through using a coaching approach. Participants will review the key concepts of performance-based coaching and will use coaching simulations to practise established methods that support coaching for excellence.

Topics include:

  • assessing and building on coaching and related leadership competencies
  • asking effective questions during coaching sessions
  • applying coaching competencies in a conversation
  • recognizing the influence of personal and organizational culture
  • applying coaching techniques for professional development
