Inuit awareness begins by understanding the unique life challenges that have shaped the Indigenous People of the Canadian Arctic, and which continue to impact their communities today. This online self-paced course provides a brief introduction to Inuit in Canada, including their traditions, governance structures and history. Participants will have an opportunity to reflect on a wide range of subjects, including the relationship between Inuit and the Government of Canada and the four distinct land claims agreements within the regions of Inuit Nunangat.
