Business continuity planning enables organizations to provide for the continued availability of priority services in the case of disruption. This course presents a series of practical activities and exercises that support the development, implementation and maintenance of a business continuity management (BCM) program. Through presentations and discussions, participants will learn about the business impact analysis process and how to develop a business continuity plan.

Topics include:

  • applying the six mandatory procedures for BCM control
  • demonstrating the relationship between BCM and emergency management
  • completing a business impact analysis (BIA)
  • developing a business continuity plan (BCP)
  • identifying BCM tools and resources
