Hiring Non-Canadian Citizens

Some types of skills and expertise are difficult to find. What happens when the person who has the much sought-after qualifications does not have Canadian citizenship? Within the federal public service, the hiring process for people who are not Canadian citizens can seem complex.

We invite you to come and listen to experts who will help demystify the process. Thereafter, you will know if you should give preference to Canadian citizens and if special programs for foreign workers might meet your needs. You will also have a better understanding of what a labour market impact assessment is about.
